1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to looid. By accessing or using the Looid social network service, websites, and applications (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these legally binding Terms of Use and all policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
2. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., through a notice on the Service or by email) before the changes become effective. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. For EU-based users, we will provide reasonable advance notice of changes as required by law (e.g., the Digital Services Act/DSA).
3. Your Looid Account
3.1. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must notify Looid immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
3.2. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. Looid may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated any provision of these Terms or applicable law.
4. User Content and License Grant
4.1. Definition of User Content
"User Content" means any content, including text, photos, videos, audio, or other materials, that you upload, post, share, or display on or through the Service.
4.2. Ownership and Responsibility
You retain all of your ownership rights in your User Content. You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You confirm that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to use and authorize Looid to use all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights in and to any and all User Content.
4.3. License to Looid
By posting User Content, you grant Looid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Content in connection with the Service and Looid’s (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.
5. Content and Conduct Rules (The "Code of Conduct")
You agree not to post, upload, or transmit Content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or hateful.
- Promotes or facilitates illegal acts (e.g., violence, self-harm, terrorism).
- Violates the intellectual property rights (including copyright and trademark) of others.
- Contains or promotes child sexual abuse material or otherwise harms minors.
- Involves the sale or promotion of illegal products or services.
- Constitutes unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes.
- Contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware.
- Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely states or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Involves harassment, bullying, or the doxing of other users.
Looid reserves the right to remove Content that violates these rules and/or suspend or terminate accounts.
6. Intellectual Property Rights (IP)
6.1. Looid IP
The Service itself, including all content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Looid, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
6.2. Copyright Infringement (DMCA/EU Directives)
Looid operates in compliance with copyright laws, including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and related EU directives (like those referenced in the DSA). If you believe that any User Content infringes your copyright, you may submit a take-down notification to our designated Copyright Agent/Content Moderation contact with the required information.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as set forth in the Privacy Policy. Looid is committed to compliance with data protection laws, including the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for our European users, and other applicable data privacy laws globally.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LOOID DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
8.2. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LOOID, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Looid, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service, including, but not limited to, your User Content, any use of the Service's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms, or your use of any information obtained from the Service.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
10.1. General Rule (US-Centric)

11. Miscellaneous
11.1. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the sole and entire agreement between you and Looid regarding the Service.
11.2. No Waiver
No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Looid’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
