This Privacy Policy describes how Looid ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and shares information about you when you use our social network service (the "Service").

- Communication Data: Information you provide when contacting us (e.g., support requests).

- Usage Data: Information about your activity on the Service, such as the posts you view, the time and duration of your activity, your search queries, and the users you interact with.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information
4.1. With Other Users
Your profile information and any Content you post publicly or share with specific groups of friends are visible to those users as determined by your privacy settings.
4.2. With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors and service providers (e.g., hosting providers, analytics services, customer support tools) who perform services for us and are legally bound to protect your data.
4.3. For Legal Reasons and Harm Prevention
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect the rights or safety of Looid, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Use.
4.4. Business Transfers
In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, your information may be transferred.
4.5. Sale of Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA Notice)
For California Consumers: Looid does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, we may share certain personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, which may be considered a "sale" under California law. You have the right to opt-out of this sharing (see Section 5.3).
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1. General Rights (Global)
- Access/Correction: You can access and update most of your information directly within your account settings.
- Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
5.2. EU/EEA/UK Rights (GDPR)
In addition to general rights, users in the EU, EEA, and UK have the right to:
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request that we delete your personal data (subject to certain exceptions).
- Right to Restriction of Processing: Request us to temporarily halt the processing of your data.
- Right to Object: Object to the processing of your data where the legal basis is "Legitimate Interests" or for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.
5.3. US Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about them.
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right via a link on our homepage titled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and provide the Service. These may include:

7. Data Security and International Transfers

Looid is a global service. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries outside of the country where you reside. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that any transfer of personal data outside the EEA is carried out using appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, subject to a brief retention period necessary to meet our legal and security obligations.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete the information as quickly as possible.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and by providing a prominent notification on the Service or via email, as required by law.
